Fuel cells :
Fuel Cells-2000
: Fuel Cells 2000 is an activity of the Breakthrough
Technologies Institute (BTI), a non-profit [501(c)(3)] educational
organization formed to promote the development and early
commercialization of fuel cells and related pollution-free,
efficient energy generation, storage and utilization technologies
and fuels. More

National Fuel Cell Research Center(NFCRC)
: The NFCRC is a component of the Advanced Power
& Energy Program (APEP) which also oversees the UC Irvine
Combustion Laboratory (UCICL). The mission of APEP is to
promote and support the development and adoption of advanced
power and energy systems by providing technological leadership
with a vigorous program of research and beta testing, coupled
with education and technology transfer to and from the market
place.

Center for Fuel Cell Research and
Applications : The Center is a multi-sponsor research
consortium that tests and evaluates commercial and near-commercial
fuel cell systems for early adopters, systems integrators,
component suppliers, distributors, and investors. We verify
each manufacturer's performance claims and provide practical
operational information regarding maintenance, warranty,
and technical support. More

Rapid Prototyping :
Rapid Prototyping Primer : The term rapid prototyping (RP)
refers to a class of technologies that can automatically
construct physical models from Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
data. These "three dimensional printers" allow
designers to quickly create tangible prototypes of their
designs, rather than just two-dimensional pictures. Such
models have numerous uses. They make excellent visual aids
for communicating ideas with co-workers or customers. In
addition, prototypes can be used for design testing. For
example, an aerospace engineer might mount a model airfoil
in a wind tunnel to measure lift and drag forces. Designers
have always utilized prototypes; RP allows them to be made
faster and less expensively. More
